Barbering was always something that interested Bob Marshall. In 1962 he decided to go to Moncton, NB to learn how then decided to open Bob’s Barber Shop in Corner Brook in 1964. He’s been cutting hair ever since, and he absolutely loves it. They’ve always had a clientele of about 95% men, but they also have Bob’s Beauty Salon dedicated to ladies’ hairstyling. Bob believes that The Beatles’ long hairstyles created a shift in the “world’s second oldest profession” away from barbering and more toward hairstyling, but he’s seeing another transition back to shorter hairstyles. With five chairs, Bob’s Barber Shop is the largest barbershop in Corner Brook, and each one is dedicated to providing unparalleled customer service and short wait times. You could say they’re a cut above the rest!
